Success Strategies of your Mind
If we’re talking about ways to achieve success, we need to talk about the unconscious mind. The unconscious mind is incredibly resourceful, and it is vast in its potential. Some of the most successful writers, inventors, scientists and business gurus have used it to achieve great things.
It is able to process millions of pieces of information per second – and just a fraction of this super-processing ability is used by the unconscious to regulate every single automatic process within your body (and there are literally billions).
This includes your heart rate, breathing, cell-metabolism, immune function, gas exchange, regeneration and so on.
On top of all this, the unconscious mind automatically stores every experience you have ever had – including those things that you weren’t even conscious of happening around you at the time.
We see proof of this often when somebody is hypnotised and suddenly recalls a long-forgotten childhood experience, in immense and vivid detail. Or when a person begins to daydream and suddenly remembers the location of something ‘out of the blue’ which they thought was long lost!
This is also the realm of your imagination, your dreams, your deepest emotions, passions and desires for life and expression.
As a result of these functions, and many, many more, the unconscious part of your mind possesses a powerful ability to comprehend the ‘bigger picture’ of any situation, at any moment, all in the blink of an eye.
This is because, unlike the conscious mind, which needs to process information in a linear, sequenced format, which necessarily takes time, (think of words forming a sentence) – the unconscious works by making associations. This way it can chunk together vast amounts of information across time, space and location. (Think of a giant 3D spider web)
The language of the conscious is word, number and structure – the language of the unconscious is image, metaphor and meaning.
If you’ve ever been on holiday or walking in nature and had a profound ‘life realisation’ hit you – you’ll understand what we’re talking about. Entire story plots, musical masterpieces and highly profitable business projects have been conceived of in this way!
It’s even said that Einstein’s theory of General Relativity came in this way – instantly, as an image of Albert himself riding through space on a beam of light. It then took him year in a lab to logically prove the equations!
Your unconscious mind is the quantum-computer of the psyche, if you will, which is naturally geared towards health, growth and creating successful solutions which allow you to thrive in life. It is the driving force of our collective evolution.
By consciously learning to work with this deeper, creative part of our nature, we will remain open to the internal solutions effortlessly presented for our external challenges. Through regularly using tools such as self-hypnosis and meditation – which allow us to cultivate a healthy relationship with our unconscious mind – We can externalise its unlimited resourcefulness and unfold a far greater potential than we had even rationalised was possible.
We can each come to realise that the key to success and fulfilment is not what external resources we possess, but the inner resourcefulness that we have cultivated in our lives.
